The newly established Coimisiún na Meán is hiring for a number of key positions to support its significant growth ambitions over the next 12-18 months. These roles will play a critical part as the organisation establishes a regulatory framework for online safety and updated regulations for television broadcasting and audiovisual on demand services nationwide.
Established under the Online Safety and Media Regulation Act 2022, Coimisiún na Meán launched in early 2023, replacing and undertaking the functions of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) and overseeing enforcement of the new EU's Digital Services Act. The organisations core responsibilities are to:
"Our mission is to ensure a thriving, diverse and safe online and media landscape."
The successful candidate will manage people and projects internally, and coordinate with external stakeholders nationally and across the European Union. They will take part in progressing investigations, gathering and analysing data, investigatory interviews and other work contributing to the mission of An Coimisiún. contributing to the mission of Coimisiún na Meán.

The successful candidate will lead on research planning, design, budgeting, and implementation, and delivering high quality reports, briefs, and presentations. They will manage people and projects, along with internal stakeholders and external third parties (research agencies, academics, consultants), and will actively drive research uptake amongst stakeholders.
