About Coimisiún na Meán

Established under the Online Safety and Media Regulation Act 2022, Coimisiún na Meán launched in early 2023, replacing and undertaking the functions of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) and overseeing enforcement of the new EU's Digital Services Act. The organisations core responsibilities are to:

 Higher Executive Officer - Investigations, Platform Supervision & Investigations Division

The successful candidate will manage people and projects internally, and coordinate with external stakeholders nationally and across the European Union. They will take part in progressing investigations, gathering and analysing data, investigatory interviews and other work contributing to the mission of An Coimisiún. contributing to the mission of Coimisiún na Meán.

Executive Officer - Facilities

The successful candidate will support the Facilities Manager in overseeing a critical function to ensure that the regulator has the necessary services to tackle the challenges of regulating a dynamic multimedia landscape and modern society. This position will primarily involve office-based work, with some flexibility for hybrid arrangements.

 Higher Executive Officer - Public Service Media

The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with excellent communication skills,  and proven organisational ability. As a manager within their team, they will be self-motivated with the ability to work on their own initiative, with strong customer service and project management skills.  They will also display strong interpersonal skills and represent Coimisiún na Meán in a credible and professional manner with all stakeholders.

The successful candidate will lead on research planning, design, budgeting, and implementation, and delivering high quality reports, briefs, and presentations. They will manage people and projects, along with internal stakeholders and external third parties (research agencies, academics, consultants), and will actively drive research uptake amongst stakeholders.
